The Fireside stool

This sumptuous, fireside stool is the perfect piece to add a dash of style and sophistication to any room. Inspired by classical fender stools from history and combined with modern comfort. Designed and handcrafted by our talented Northumbrian artisans.

This Fireside stool is standout piece of occasional furniture. Its beautiful and elegant shape looks wonderful when paired with sofas or chairs with similar design influences, such as Florence and Edwardian. The deep buttoning is hand finished in our workshops and evokes a luxurious classical feel. There is an un-buttoned option available which is the ideal blank canvas to showcase a statement fabric.

Comfortable to sit on if you have extra guests, or to place a tray on when entertaining perhaps? Or take time to yourself to relax and put your feet up in style! Choose from a world of fabrics and leathers to make your Fireside stool totally unique.

The sofas during this time have had normal wear including the rough and tumble when grandkids visit. There is no sign of wear to the fabric, I have washed to seat pad covers on several occasions over the years (no fading or shrinkage). I wanted to replace to seat and back pads with a firmer filling, I’m delighted to say this has been done to above and beyond my expectations, I now have a very comfortable, firmer sofa to suit my needs. Sofa looks great, and all fits perfectly, I’ve got the best of both having kept the other sofa with the pads.
