How to make my living room look luxurious.

When we think of a feeling of luxury, we think about an overall experience within a certain environment, rather than a certain item or piece of furniture. With this in mind, when designing a luxury living room you should consider how the space makes you feel by implementing different colours, textures and fabrics, and perhaps replacing items that have suffered a lot of wear and tear over the years. Consider contrasting colours & textures

Having different textures and styles within one space is a great way to achieve the luxurious design you’re hoping for, as it adds interest and contrast. If you’re buying an armchair, for instance, it doesn’t necessarily have to be the same colour or style as your sofa, especially if you want it to be another focal point in the space. Choose the Georgian wing chair for the ultimate opulent chair to curl up in.

One of the easiest ways to introduce different textures is with your soft furnishings, such as sofa cushions, curtains and surface finishes. What’s more, dimmer lighting is great for creating a sense of opulence, so either replace your overhead lights for smaller lamps placed around the room, or invest in a dimmer switch so that you can reduce the brightness when you want to relax.
